Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Explore Angkor with Lunch at Sala Russey

A full day tour at Angkor World Heritage covers the mot impressive and stunning temples in the country. You’ll visit Angkor Wat (the world’s biggest religious monument), the Angkor Thom Complex, Ta Nei temple, the Victory Gate of Angkor Thom, and Ta Prohm.

In the morning start the tour with a trip to Ta Prohm, famously known as the Tomb Raider temple. Most of this temple is covered by gigantic trees that have grown over the ancient structures for over 600 years!

After Ta Prohm, head on over to the ruined Ta Nei temple that’s hidden in the jungle. This secluded spot sees few tourists.

Then you will continue your trip to the Victory Gate of Angkor Thom where you will be welcomed by the four smiling faces of the King Jayavarman VII in the form of Buddhe accompanied by gods and demons. This is a truly amazing sight.

Enter through the gates to discover the impressive Angkor Thom temple complex (the Great City of King Jayavarman VII between 1181 – 1220 AD). The area consists of the Elephant Terrace, Leper King, Preah Paleilay, Ancient Royal Palace, Phimean Akas, Baphoun, and Bayon.

After exploring these incredible temples, you will surely be hungry. We’ll go to Sala Russey restaurant for lunch alongside Srah Srang.

After our lunch break, you will finally visit the magnificent Angkor Wat. You will have plenty of time to explore every inch of the ancient wonder.

Day 2: Landmine Museum, Banteay Srei, and Kompong Phluk

Spend a full day travelling through Siem Reap’s countryside to explore Cambodian history and culture.

You will spend part of the day at the Landmine Museum. Here you can learn more about why and how landmines and ordinances came to be buried across our country. You will also learn the dangers and how to recognize areas that are being demined.

After, we’ll continue the journey to Banteay Srei (the Citadel of Women). This artistic temple is beautiful and is regarded as one of the most astounding with its fine carvings detailing the pink sandstone walls.

We will spend the rest of the day discovering Kompong Phluk, a relaxing floating village about 25 kilometers away from Siem Reap. Here you will witness the daily life of fishermen and their families as they live on the water in stilted houses. They are only minutes away from a flooded mangrove forest and have a few pagodas to see.

Get a more in-depth experience when booking a Private Tour with us. All include free pick up and drop off service in an air-conditioned vehicle (exception: Army Jeep) with free cold water and towels to help you face Cambodia’s heat.
